The role of the artist and lovers

I believe at the core we are love.

Our relationships are just mutual agreements on the depth of how we can co- express love.

When I enter into relationship with you, know that I already love you.

I want to collaborate on ways to be in relation that is built on co-creation of intention and conscious expression of love.

“The role of the artist is exactly the same as the role of the lover. If I love you, I have to make you conscious of the things you don’t see.” -James Baldwin

My creative process is also a relationship. Art for me is a limitless way to explore my own journey to love and expression. The agreement I have with art is to committing to explore my own consciousness. I have recently realized that when I choose to share art, and make art with others, this is my agreement with the world to be seen, be interpreted and maybe be known.

Sometimes my art is playful, it’s explorative, it’s lighthearted. Othertimes, the process explores the depth of myself and all the emotions I hold from joy, to grief, to fear.

This agreement, like any, I do not take lightly. Therefor, I will always ask

What am I not conscious of?

What are you not conscious of?

What are we not conscious off?

What are my barriers to expressing love?

What are your barriers to expressing love?

What are our barriers to expressing love?

What in myself and in this world is trying to be seen?
